Mastering engineer Mike Wells shows how he uses the BAX EQ to help a mix of the rock band “Electrets” song Falling Away sound even better

“We’re going to use the BAX EQ to get a little more space on the top end, get a little more thump out of that bottom—but also keep the bottom tight—and smooth out that vocal…by using all aspects of the BAX EQ.”

Mike Wells began mastering in the late 90’s, opening Mike Wells Mastering in San Francisco, CA in early 2001. After a decade of service in the Bay Area, Mike Wells Mastering relocated to the epicenter of the music industry, Los Angeles – CA. His Recording Artist roster includes Green Day, Prince, Tony Sly, Tommy Guerrero, along with Production Music companies Google, Apple, Megatrax Production Music, and Angry Mob Music.
